This painting is part of my Doof series. Doof or Bush Doof, is an Australian term for a rave event held outdoors in nature. This painting references the Jolly Roger flag. The Jolly Roger was originally a red flag depicting a skull and cross bones and was a French Pirate flag, known as the Jolie Rouge.

I am exploring the fusion of historical tastes with a modern and forward thinking approach.
